A Therapy Space
for Parents
About
Hello and welcome!
The search to find a therapist can be daunting. If you have questions not answered here, please reach out. I’m happy to talk more.
I am a licensed professional counselor in the states of MO and IL. I have over 10 years of experience and continue my education with annual training.
I work with adults and specialize in working with parents and caregivers. The job that never ends! I’m here to support you. In the rush of life, we don’t always have the chance to stop, check-in, and see how we’re doing. This is a place where we take care of the caregiver.
I’ve received advanced training in Perinatal Mental Health, CBT, DBT, and trauma-informed care. If you aren’t familiar with those terms, that’s perfectly fine. I work to balance warm, empathetic listening with goal and skill building. I hope you leave our time together feeling heard, validated, and empowered to take on the rest of the day.
Services
I work with adults individually. I do some joint couples
sessions to collaborate on parenting, strengthen relationships, and build communication. If you are primarily seeking couples therapy, I will help you find a trained specialist. Initial consultation calls are free and can answer your questions and provide more information.
I’m licensed in MO and IL and can see clients in-person or via telehealth. Sessions are 55 minutes.
I accept private pay clients and am in-network with the following insurances: Aetna, Anthem/BCBS, Cigna, Optum/United Health Care, Oscar, Oxford. I offer a limited number of sliding scale/reduced fee appointments per week, based on need.

Caregivers of Medically Complex Kids
I have a unique, specialized training and a deep passion for supporting caregivers of medically complex kids. For five years, I worked to create a caregiver wellness program for parents at St. Louis Children’s Hospital. I provided therapy at the bedside in PICU and inpatient units, primarily with parents of children with epilepsy, cerebral palsy, and significant neurological conditions. I am familiar with the ongoing demands of balancing multiple therapies, medical feeds, hospital admissions, medications, IEPs, and insurance in addition to the demands of everyday life.
I have partnered with local and national non-profits to support the needs of parents as caregivers. I collaborate with other professionals in the field of Caregiver Wellness to stay up to date on emerging research and best practices to support parents who experience ongoing stress and medical trauma.
You can read about some of my work with the June Jessee Memorial Foundation and the American Epilepsy Society Annual Meeting.
I work to make my practice accessible to parents by accepting most major insurances. I also offer significantly decreased rates to parents of medically complex children who are uninsured or out of network. If you have a financial barrier to therapy, please reach out.
